Thanks to all Oxonians who have renewed their membership for 2021. The Time Trial program is now published on this page.
Due to the continuing Covid situation, and restrictions permitting we will be adopting the same process as 2020 for the running of events.ie on-line entry in advance, start sheet in advance, on-line payments, and results service. We did not collect the numbers issued in 2020, so you will be competing using the same number (hopefully you still have it!) for the 2021 season.
The first scheduled event is the Brill Hilly on Sunday 21st March at 10.00am. As always, we need volunteers to marshal and help run the events and the link is in place so you can schedule your three marshalling duties.
Speaking of volunteering it is Oxonian CC’s turn to run the 2021 Leiden Plaque Event. So, we need someone to step forward to organise this, ably supported by the committee. This year’s event will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 30th August. As many of you will know this is a fun inter-club event utilising the CTT Handicap rules to generate the results. The Leiden Plaque was presented by the Swift Cycling Club in 1952 to commemorate the annual exchange visit between Oxford and Leiden cyclists. In a break with the traditional 25miles distance and to avoid bank holiday traffic hotspots we will be using the Charlbury Hilly circuit subject to agreement by the participating clubs. Last years promotion by Banbury Star CC was well supported with ten Oxonians taking part. Who knows, maybe 2021 is the year Oxonians take the trophy ten years on from our last win.
