Road racing

The club is part of the Oxfordshire Road Race League (ORRL), an annual series of road race events promoted by local clubs. The club organises the final event in the league calendar at Great Milton at the end of the July.

If you are looking to take up Road Racing and would like to compete in the series as part of the Oxonian team, please contact Martin Prior (martin.prior@oxoniancc.co.uk).

Races in the league are very popular, and the events are usually oversubscribed.  As part of the league, the club has a guaranteed allocation of 10 places at each event for its own members.

Club members also regularly compete in other BC events, and a number of older members compete in events promoted by the League of Veteran Racing Cyclists (LVRC).

The club has a Road Race Championship Trophy that is awarded to the rider accruing the most RR points during a season.

Details of forthcoming Road Racing events can be obtained from the BC and LVRC websites.

If you want to have a go at your first road race or want to get back into the swing of things then please contact Martin who will be happy to put you in touch with our active racers.
