It is that time of the year again! The Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 13thNovember at 7.30pm at Long Hanborough Village Hall. This is your opportunity to select the individuals you want to run the club on your behalf. Whilst many of the current committee are happy to continue in their roles, you as members may have other ideas. If you wish to stand for election to the committee and/or are interested in a particular role please make yourself known to General Secretary Paul Warren or David Hanson. We have several roles that need filling: Chairman ( I hope to step down), Road Race and Oxfordshire Road Race League TT organiser(s), and although we managed without a dedicated Club TT secretary throughout 2018 and 2019 it would be preferred if one person could be responsible. With increasing limitations on running events we need more volunteers to come forward. You may know someone who would be ideal for one of these roles, but please seek their permission before nominating them.
Additionally, if you have any agenda items for the AGM please forward these to Paul or David. This is your opportunity to have your say in the running of your Oxonian CC for 2020.
The second date for your diaries is Sunday 24th November for our series of Cyclo Cross Events at Standlake. This is the club’s most successful activity attracting up to 400 plus competitors on the day across all ages and categories. We urgently need people to marshal and assist in preparing and laying out the course the course in the days leading up to the events. So, if you can spare a couple of hours please contact the organising committee of David Jones, Paul Warren or Patrick Smith. Those marshalling on the day will be provided with food and drink vouchers. All help will be greatly appreciated.
The third date for your diaries is Wednesday 11th December for the Christmas supper open to all members. This will also be at 7.30pm at Long Hanborough Village Hall. Once again the excellent Paul Allday will wowing us with his culinary skills. Further details and a booking link will be announced shortly.
