Southmoor Open 10

With 82 riders signed up to complete the Open 10 at Southmoor on Saturday 14 July it was set to be a popular event.  With the sun shining it was near perfect conditions in the afternoon; just the heat ensuring riders didn’t have too much of an easy ride! Out of 82 riders, 67 riders – 10 Oxonians and 14 woman – completed the course.

Overall fastest time was Stuart Travis from Team Bottrill with 18:48, followed by Robert West, Aerocoach with 19:35 and Alex Bradley, Oxford University CC in third place with 20:05. Suzy Patience, led the way for the women on the day with 23:35, only seconds ahead of second placed woman, Aimee Jones of Cowley Road Condors with 23:44 and third place went to Emma Angrove, 73Degrees with 23:57.

Robert West and Anthony Turner were also 1^stand 2^ndplaced vets against standard, with 3^rdplace being taken by Richard Harrison from Drag2Zero.

Team place went to Fairly United’s, Matthew Alder, Pete Oliver and Ben Walker.

First (and only!) tandem on the day was Chris Edgington and Pete Oliver of Fairly United with 21:02.
