The TT Racing season get off to a great start

This seasons TT races is well underway. We have had two Hilly TT race which could be said to be the hardest ones to go for. We had some great results with Tony Turner finishing with 1:01:55 at the Hanborough Hilly, a really fast time for the three lap race. The 10 mile TT races have proved popular, although the weather has not always been in our favour. This week we defied the cold & the wind on the Burford 10 course last night Dan Blake (Oxo) won the latest Wednesday night TT with a time of 21min 51sec. Dan was the only rider to break 22min, Tony Turner (Oxo 2nd claim) & Malcolm Rose (Oxo) both did 22min times, Tony 22-11 & Malcolm 22-29 but they could not match Dans pace. Fortunately for the 19 riders who rode the event the rain held off right until the end.

Remember you are racing against yourself and it’s all about having ago.

If you fancy trying out TT race then go on the site for further details go to.

Time trials are perhaps the simplest form of racing, with riders competing individually against the clock over a set course, usually 10 or 25 miles in length. Time trialling is very easy to get into. You can turn up and ride a club event on just about any roadworthy bike, ride the course as fast as you can, and then come back the next week and try and beat your time.

Our Club time trials run between late March and early September on Wednesday evenings and a handful of Sunday mornings.
